The poll, conducted by Harris Interactive, indicated that over 33,000 eHarmony.com members married in a twelve month period ending August 31, 2005.

In order to establish a clear estimate of the number of eHarmony subscribers who married during the most recent year of operation, the company leveraged the expertise of Harris Interactive, one of America's most respected independent research firms. Harris conducted a nationwide poll of people who married between September 1, 2004 and August 31, 2005 and this research found that 16,630 marriages resulted from eHarmony matches during this period. The study was conducted by telephone using a representative sample of married Americans. Married respondents were about equally divided between men (47%) and women (53%). The overall margin of error for the current study is +/- 1.4%.
